Some suspension of disbelief required in almost all sci-fi, but the filmmaker’s explanation here was that the queen died and what was left were drones for the most part. Obviously Christopher (and maybe his buddy) were the only brains of the operation remaining.

That probably sounds like bullshit to a cynic like yourself, TDiddy. But based on my vast experiences traveling in South Africa, I can tell you that even highly intelligent animals like elephants lose their shit when their pack leader dies. A few years ago they were culling elephants and realized that if they accidentally shot the queen or whatnot, the other elephants would basically just stand around and die. And elephants also have a huge stockpile of DNA weapons they’re just waiting to spring on us, too.

It’s just nature, man. Nature.

I just saw District 9 and it was OK. As usual, the aliens can build spacecraft capable of interstellar travel but yet are incapable of fighting back the human oppression or apparently even wiping their own asses. In the end, the one smart shrimp (prawn) fires up his rocket ship with a can of Dr Pepper and heads back “home” leaving the rest of his “people” behind in District 10.

I tried to enjoy the movie (even had a few beers before hand to limit my bullshit meter from going off), but it’s hard to enjoy with so many holes in the plot. however, Its better than most Sci-Fi movies that Hollywood is putting out these days.

I’m still wondering how the aliens can make intricate computer equipment and awesome plasma weapons with claw like hands. I’ve got two opposable thumbs and I can’t my DVR to work.

Just watched the first episode of MM season three despite my previous statement. Excellent as usual. I agree on FNL though, aside from some silliness in season two, it is pretty fucking great. About to tune in to America's Best Dance Crew, another fantastic program.

Kill Bill is entertaining and well shot but the story is pretty dull. Saw Mad Men season one, which amused the hell out of me. Will have to see if the time shift served a purpose Night or was just a clever ploy. Still like Friday Night Lights best. Hope the run of idiots running NBC haven’t killed it for good. That marketer who just got canned was possibly a worse head than Zucker was. The icon had been eluding me because it doesn’t show on firefox. Wonder if it does on safari. Speaking of which, want to see more pictures.

I don’t know, Kill Bills were pretty entertaining. He only puts out one movie every like 7 years, so it’s hard for me to be too judgmental. Thanks for noticing the favicon.ico. It took me 3 minutes to make, so I’m pretty well invested in it.

Mad Men will take me a little time, we like to watch 2-3 eps at a time. I’ve raved about it enough on here that I think my position on the first two seasons is well understood.

I predict you will be severely disappointed by Inglorious. His work has been declining slowly but surely since Pulp Fiction. Nice logo, or whatever these things in the address bar are called. What about Mad Men? Not deserving of a review?
